Freedom Calls!!

The freedom we have been given came at a high price!

Most of us took time recently to celebrate the 4th of July. Well if your an American you did any way. The limitation of this is broad and Americans understand it. Not saying other contries don’t, but using it to make a point.

What about the freedom we all have been granted by the blood of Jesus. This freedom is a universal freedom..its not isolated to a certain country or age or nationality. The freedom of the savior is for all.

For you were called to freedom, brethren; only do not turn your freedom into an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. Galatians 5:13 NASB

We are all called to be free. Jesus came to set the captive free! Those that hear the good news of what He came to do for us.

Our freedom is not to be taken lightly! It is to be reveared, appreciated, and cherished because God didn’t have to give His only Son to die for the sins of the world and rise agaib restoring the relationship He had intended for us to have back in the Garden of Eden.

As we walk in this freedom of our spirit our soul still needs to be set free from things. Like old ways of thinking, old ways of feeling, old ways that just do no good and don’t produce any good things in your life we also need freedom from.

The work is hard! Your flesh if it is anything like mine it has taken comfort in the bad, wrong and unfruitful things and they had to be attacked by the word of God to tear down, as well as, God using an anointed vessel of my Pastor in my life to do so in me.

Freedoms call is ours to receive! We see it come through and we can either accecpt it or slide the lil red phone and reject the call. The choice is ultimatley ours. But many are called, few choose to answer.

Will you answer?

Stand Firm in Faith

Take your stand!

What is the first thing a child does when it goes from crawling to walking?

Establishing thier stand, gain balance, learn what caused them tip or fall. That is how it has been for me going from unbelief to faith as I wrote on yesterday.

I have stood by faith and waivered and fallen.

I have stood by faith and crossed right back into unbelief which landed me on my butt so to speak (LOL).

Its a trial and error to find a balance in standing in the faith.

But he who stands firm in his heart, being under no constraint, but has authority over his own will… 1 Corinthians 7:37a NASB

It been a matter also of establishing my authority as a believer within myself. The more I am able to do this, this can bring about a balance. Knowing exactly who I am in Christ and what He has given me dominion over I have to learn to walk in.

I have also been able to tap into learning that I can control myself and subject my will, choices and desires to God.

By doing this it has alleviated some drama by not going into any and everything. As to know that everything isn’t Gods perfect will for my life.

To know His will for my life has had to come with a learning of Him and who He is, as well as, what He is purposing in my life currently. Anything outside of that could wear me out, cause overwhelm or burnout.

By learning to take that stand it has also helped bring some balance. It will take time and a few tries but balance does eventually come then the walking begins.

Faith Stands

Take your stance and be unwaivering in it!

Its hard to stand in the beginning and also during difficult times. I have buckled under pressure so many times because my faith in God wasn’t strong enough.

What was overly strong was my faith in my self and what I could do, what I could accomplish, basically and very strong self-will and self-reliant person.

Course alot of that came from my upbringing and it aided later on not being able to surrender and trust God in hard times.

I had to become determined to get more about the life of faith. That can and does take time in developing as it will be a life long journey. New trials or situations that I have yet to encounter will cause me to have to find new ways to remain firm.

because now we really live [in spite of everything], if you stand firm in the Lord.

But, because of the faithfulness of God and who He is, I can pull from that in spite of all things. This will continually help me shed the self-reliant and strong self-will mindset and allow trust in God to be on the scene.

This is the only way to be able to stand firm in the Lord. Yes I am still learning how to do this as faith life is like when your born you have to learn and grow into things as you progress and that the journey I have been on and will be on.

As a believer I will never be exempt from facing hardships. The difference is that I have hope and a source to pull on in those times. But it is only going to come from a consistent and daily relationship build with God through His son Jesus and listening to the Holy Spirit.

May we all grow into the place that inspite of it all we stand firm in the Lord!

Heart of Faith πŸ’•πŸŒ±

What is planted on the inside is what grows!

At the heart of who we are as people, those core things that we are and walk in daily are seeds we spread in our every day life to ourself and to the environment around us.

To spread good we have to alter that which we are at the core of us. For me that has been removing what I can of negativity, doubt, fear, worry, anxiety, depression.

It will be a life long journey to do so, but I have been able with the coaching of my Pastor Juanita Gibbs been able to tackle a layer of it. Which I am eternally greatful for.

Without her love, guidance, acceptance and leadership in my life I am not sure where I would be. I know for sure without her I wouldn’t be blogging. These are my ways to spread good seeds out into the world.

I will establish your seed forever And build up your throne to all generations.” Selah.
Psalms 89:4 NASB

I want to continue to change me at the heart of me to carry good seeds of faith into the world. I want it to be prevalent in my relationships, in my writings and those I may only encounter breifly.

What I carry of faith inside of me will manifest around me, just as the negativity has manifest just in the opposite way. To continue to change I must make sure I am in continual submission to His word and this too will take work and be a life long journey.

But in time the consistent work of the beginning will become my first nature, over time, as in the beginning it is hard work and a 2nd nature initially as I had leaned too much on the old pattern/way of being.

We are seed carriers it is up to us to grow good seed to share that good seed around us. Just as any fruit bears seed if it came from a not so good string it may not last long, but if the fruit is nurtured and cared for and has a good start then it can produce mass goodness and be a long lasting seed bearing fruit.

That is what we are to be an everlasting/evergreen tree bearing fruit in season and out of season. That thus bores more fruit as the seeds inside fall to new ground and grow.

A heart and core center of good faith seeds can change your life and generations.

Faith Grows Pt 2

Faith must be nutured!

There is one thing that I had to come to realize and that nothing grows unless it is firmly planted and established. For one, my faith and journey early on was not firmly rooted but shallow planted.

I was all over the place honestly. I was in this church and that church as if to say I was chasing waterfalls so to speak. Just wanting to hear a word from God and hear deeper revelation.

What happened as a result of that was limited to no faith growth. As well as, no firm foundation in much of anything thus creating immaturity in places of my life.

And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. Psalms 1:3 KJV

What God had to do was slow me down and replant me not in a shallow place but where my planting would become firm, rooted and established in something for once.

It is through God planting me at Reformation Developmental Center which is lead by Pastor Juanita Gibbs. Her teaching helped slow me down and not be all over the place.

I was in all kinds of books that didnt help bring change, I was in studies on youtube that were to no effect. When I learned to focus on what she was bringing that was strategic for me and cut out all the rest, it has made great deal of difference in how I grow now.

I can honestly say I am not where I want to be, but to God be the Glory for Him using my Pastor for helping me be not where I used to be. She has helped nurture my faith journey so that it can become stronger. She knew I needed to be established beside the waters of the spirit and take root in truth to be firm and have fruit in all seasons.

Faith Planted

Our old nature has to die to produce goodness!

When faith is planted inside our spirit and we begin to attend church regularly, we read and study the word on our own something begins to happen.

That faith begins to crack open inside us and push out that which is not of God. Its in the exercising of that measure that I blogged on yesterday. Becoming a doer of the word, by applying it and walking it out.

My Pastor Juanita Gibbs often reminds us that we must not only be a hearer of the word but also a doer. Hearing builds faith within us, as doing the word helps change us.

Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit. John 12:24 KJV

Its in that doing and hearing when change comes that the good fruit can begin to come forth. Where I once was selfish, stingy, impatient, and prideful begin to shed. Now love, peace, patience, meekness can grow.

Its a lifetime of work to keep fruit growing as there are always places revealed in me that they can grow and improve in. But faith had to come in to cause the old to die out. When the seed of faith planted and cracked open it was on me to nourish it and watch my faith grow.

I’m not quite where I would like to be in it, but with my Pastors help andthe help of the Lord by His word I’m not where I was. I am determined to keep taking steps to grow my faith and produce the goodness of God in my life.

Faith relationship continued…

Faith submits to the leadership of the Lord. Especially those anointed as leaders in the Kingdom of the 5 fold ministry.

To be honest I have had a submission problem. Even when it has come down to submitting to leadership and the Lord at times in my life.

The Lord would speak to me or use my Pastor at the time and I would balk, fight, complain, wear myself down in my emotions and logic to the point of just wanting it all to end. Honestly I had worked myself to the lowest of low fighting.

Fighting the Lord is a loosing battle and you would think I would have learned that after just once. But, no I didn’t learn it. It has taken another serious battle to say chick you better sit down and humble yourself.

They will walk after the Lord , He will roar like a lion; Indeed He will roar And His sons will come trembling from the west.
Hosea 11:10 NASB

Pastors and any other leader has been anointed by God to do a job. They were called to that job to serve a kingdom purpose. I heard it said once that to be a leader you must learn to follow well. Jesus walked after the Father. Paul walked after Jesus. We too are to follow those predecessors as they have followed the Lord.

It is by them that we learn and grow into the image and likeness of Christ. It is by that example we can find our kingdom purpose and set out to fulfill it.

Elisha followed Elijah and asked for a double anointing of what Elijah had following God. He wanted to reach more and do more in His time for kingdom purpose.

There is one faith and that is in the Lord Jesus that He was the only begotten son of God and that He died for our sins and rose again so that we may know eternity with Him.

This is our example of faith and living. Our leaders sacrificially follow Him on the regular as we are growing to also as we journey on this road of faith. May we and especially me learn to continue to humble myself and follow them as they follow Christ.

Faith Eyes

What do you see?

There was a song some time ago that had the lyrics “let them see you in me” I loved that song I often pressed into God with it when I was about to speak or present anything at church.

And Jesus cried out and said, “He who believes in Me, does not believe in Me but in Him who sent Me. He who sees Me sees the One who sent Me. I have come as Light into the world, so that everyone who believes in Me will not remain in darkness.
John 12:44‭-‬46 NASB

Jesus was the embodiment of the Father in human form in the earth during His life. Where ever he went he was an ambassodor for God.

When He completed His work at the cross and after time ascended to the right hand of the Father so we can have the Holy Spirit to live inside our spirit and be our guide.

I want to grow more in the faith that my eyes through the spirit looking to Jesus I can see the love of the Father. Know the depth of compassion, grace and mercy. The more I see it for myself and take it in, I can then inturn be able to share that with those around me. I cannot give from an empty place.

This helps me to become a reflection of the savior to the world around me. Jesus reflected the Father as we are to reflect Him! We are ambassadors for Christ.

Because he died and rose again and sent the spirit is how we are able to fulfill going into all the world and preach the gospel. By being a reflector of His life, character, love, grace and mercy to the world in which we live.

Perfected Faith

How is this so?!??

How is our faith perfected?

That would be by seeking out Jesus as He is the main reason why we should have faith. Faith in the finished works of the cross. Faith in what His life came to be as our example of that walked out.

fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Hebrews 12:2 NASB

He is the author of our faith as the written word is the conduit in which we learn of Him. His life was the living word written so that we may know.

He lived sinless so that we may know the grace and mercy of God that even in our sin we can be perfected by believing on that which is perfect.

He who was blameless and spotless is how we are perfected. He came to live and die for us. This was His purpose, as well as, to show the power of God.

God gave His only son so that who so ever believe will not perish but have eternal life. That eternal life comes because of the lambs sacrifice to lay down His life.

John 1 says in paraphrase “In the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God. The word came in form of a man to live amongst us”. Jesus was and is the word that was and will forever be.

So focusing my mind in the word more and more is how faith is perfected. It takes a passion for the word and a strong desire to know more about it and use it in your life.

Yes this is definitley an area I need to come up in. I have times when its like the Word has left me and God is a million miles away and Jesus is now sitting with his head in his hand shaking it like when will my daughter learn. But, this isn’t the case as the Holy Spirit will let me know they are just as close as ever.

Jesus is seated at the right hand of the Father interceeding for me, He sent the comforter to comfort me and God on High sends earthen vessels in the form of my leaders at Reformation Developmental Center to help get me back on track when I go astray.

My Pastor Juanita Gibbs used the sword of the word cut away that which is contrary to the word that has contributed to my stumbling and got me out of faith. Without this influence I don’t know where I would be. Thankful God has used her mi

When Faith is Unpleasing!

Having a lack of faith is unpleasing to God!

I know right strange title…LOL!

But, faith is only unpleasing when we posses a lack there of. Faith is suppose to be used in its full measure from which it has been given to us from God.

And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.
Hebrews 11:6 NASB

The measure is to be exercised so that it may grow and flow in the fullness of His goodness. In my life, I can tell that its been more on the lacking side then exercised side.

How can I tell this? Well look at the manifestations around my life. Some good, some not so good. Granted yes that happens in life, but take a look at those who remain firm and steadfast in faith. They have a steady upward flow. Where as I, have had ups and downs.

To slow down and eventually change my course of life from the ups and downs I will need to press into that when I seek God I must trust Him at who he is and believe fully in his power, grace, mercy and love.

This way that as I do seek Him I can have that deep inner knowing that God loves those who diligently seek after Him. He will reward those who seek him. God is not like man that should lie, but in my life I have lumped God right in with people nourishing my trust issus.

So, I must press into faith and grow my measure so that it is pleasing to God and He can reward my search after Him with His goodness.
